About This Project

This was a fun project for a sod/soil renovation project in Wellington, Colorado. The client had a hard time growing grass, and it kept dying on him no matter what he did. We were able to help by first sending out soil samples to the College of Agriculture Sciences at Colorado State University. We determined that the soil was too acidic and needed to be corrected before we could install new sod.

We were able to amend the soil by excavating out 3 inches of the existing acidic soil and clay, then brought in a blend of pH-neutral compost and topsoil as recommended by the College of Agriculture Sciences. We graded out the topsoil, and after the client approved the final grade, we installed new EnviroTurf from our supplier TurfMaster LLC.

We warrantied our work, and in one month, the client had established a lush and beautiful lawn that he was proud of mowing on the weekends!
